That Age...
I'm getting to that age where:
-Less is more when it comes to my make-up and clothing.
-Nights in with good wine and conversation are far preferred to nights out boozing and being quippy.
-My critics' opinions carry far less weight than ever before.
-My friendships with women are cherished and trusted.
-Hard work goes into getting what I want--I no longer expect to be pandered to just because I think I'm super awesome.
But I still haven't mastered:
-Getting up on time
-Not being sucked into crappy television.
-A consistent work-out routine.
-Not leaving my stuff all over the bathroom counter.
-Waiting until the last minute to do...everything
You?

I'm in the same about about my critic's opinions don't mean a thing anymore and I love it it is so liberating. I'm still working on that whole wake up on time thing. I need that alarm clock that runs from you.
Um, I actually had TWO alarms at one point...one by my bed, and one super obnoxious one in the bathroom, and I still didn't get up on time. Pretty bad, I know. Maybe I'll work on that in my next decade.
Waking up on time, too!! I'm 22... have 3 alarms on my phone EVERY MORNING and, and, AND a real alarm clock that I hit the snooze on 4-5 times ..so its set about a 45 min early... WHY is it so hard?? But I am pretty abnormally tidy, so the bathroom-counter-thing gets better all the time :)
Red, I'm pretty tidy, too...but for some reason--probably because I'm in such a rush in the morning from, you know, not waking up on time--my bathroom counter always looks like a tornado hit it.
Less will never be more when it comes to make-up! I'm going to draw on cat eye liner until the day I die! ;-)
Ha! I'd literally just hit "send" on an email to my best friend about how I spent, oh, from about age 17 to 20 dreaming of the day when I could go to one of the "during the week, starting at 7 am" Saint Patrick's Day parties that various bars in the area put on. And now that I am the ripe ol' age of 25 (ha), the thought of having to go to something like that, quite frankly, makes me a little stabby. Cheers to nights in with wonderful girlfriends.
Jenn, you draw on that cat eye liner! Meow! :)
Marte, you said "stabby"...I like it! (And yes, beer in the morning just sounds gross.)
Wow, so many similarities. I think I realized how much I enjoy just hanging out with people I like a few years ago. Before, it seemed like an amusing way to pass the time when we weren't "doing" something. I still haven't mastered any of those either, but I keep trying.
Seriously-SERIOUSLY-I'm gonna start working on that getting up on time thing. Maybe we should all start a support group? :)
LOL, but we might have a problem getting to meetings on time :-)
