The Bachelorette: Week HOLY BALLS, SO DUMB Update

Oh boy, I have not yelled at the screen during "The Bachelorette" in a long time. But yes, last night, there was shouting and cursing from The Naked Redhead’s apartment.

Here’s why:

-It is not fair to tell someone one thing, but really mean another. For example: Jillian told Ed there was no pressure to stay, but when he did elect to go (a decision, I imagine was helped along by, oh, I don’t know, JILLIAN SAYING THERE WAS NO PRESSURE TO STAY) she threw it back in his face that she “hopes when he does meet the right girl, he doesn’t let his career get in the way.”

I think in many relationships, one party often tries to act like he or she is “cool” or laidback about something, when very clearly, on the inside, he or she is not. Personally, I’ve been working on being honest about these things to The Boyfriend, and it’s helped us open up our communication a bit more. I’ve also learned that it is not his responsibility to drag it out of me, but I need to man up and say at the outset, “It bothers me that...”

Otherwise, the episode finally gave us more of a glimpse of Michael, who is still adorable, though maybe a bit more twitchy than I thought. I can’t figure out if this is a constant trait, or more of a result of being nervous and on camera. He strikes me as the kind of guy that CAN chill if he wants to...we shall see.

Also, did anyone see the previews for the weeks to come? Did they SERIOUSLY hint about erectile dysfunction???? Holy shit, I really hope so, because that episode is going to be AWESOME.

What are your thoughts from this week? Any new favorites? Still hating Wes? (I am).

I know! I totally got the "erectile dysfunction" vibe which was... WEIRD!! And yeah, I agree with you on the whole Ed thing. It's a little lame to act all cool and then not be cool. Although I've totally done that. Yeah. I need to work on that too.

HATE Wes!

he made a point on several occasions since the show started... "I didnt sign up for this, my sisters signed me up"
To me that has been a sign of his intentions not being hounrable.

Tanner, needs to get the boot. he just bugs me.

Ed- Sigh, Ed. It was unfair of Jilly to say that and then react the way she did.
I'm sure he would have stayed if he didnt think staying would not only cost him his job, but all other financial obligations he probably has.

I can't tell you how cool it was see my backyard on TV like that! Woot woot Vancouver!!!!

Poor Ed. He was one of my favorites... and it would have been really horrible for him to give up his job and then not get a rose in the next few weeks, you know? She said herself that she couldn't guarantee him anything.

And in the previews she was CRYING about the erectile dysfunction!! I mean if it was ONE overnight date, and there are cameras, plus you know you're competing with a bunch of other guys... the pressure is definitely on, he needs another chance! Poor guy, whoever it turns out to be. Something else I noticed in the previews... Wes saying something about he's good to go cause he got his six weeks of publicity?! I totally saw it coming but... still sickening to hear. Especially because Jillian trusts him so whole-heartedly.
